Floor Restoration
We can undertake all floor repairs and source any reclaimed timber necessary. The floors are sanded back to the bare wood using coarse, medium and fine grades to provide a smooth level surface. Any gaps can be filled and the floor stained if required. We then refinish with a water-based lacquer in either a natural, silk matt or gloss finish.
Environmentally friendly dust free sanding machines
Only the latest virtually dust free sanding machines by Bona and Lagler are used.
Environmentally friendly waterborne lacquers
As you might expect we mainly use the Swedish Bona range of finishes which have an extremely high resistance to wear and scratches and require very little maintenance. These lacquers, unlike solvent based, are safe to use and do not smell.
Type of finish
Our finishes are suitable for all wooden floors whether it be in a small domestic property to large scale commercial premises from art galleries, banks, libraries and restaurants to sports halls. With our knowledge of french polishing and ongoing training with the manufacturers, it gives us the edge in pleasing not only the client, but the most particular designer or architect.
Maintenance
An effective maintenance programme will keep your floor clean and looking good for many years to come. We can set up a maintenance service/programme to suit each individuals needs. We will also leave you with a Bona Care Floor Cleaning System Kit and Maintenance Instructions on completion.
